Domaine Begude is located in Limoux, in the eastern foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains in Southern France, 30 minutes south of the medieval city of Carcassone.

Only organic sheep manure is used for fertiliser, the vines are dry farmed and weeding is done manually, with no pesticides used. They participate in a Europe-wide study of biodiversity in vineyards, encouraging and celebrating the native birds, insects and wildlife that live in and around their vineyards.
Winemaker and manager Laurent Girault was raised in the area, in a family of winemakers. The aim at Domaine Begude is to “make excellent wine from long established high-quality terroir, wines reminiscent of the new world, but with the elegance of the old...”
