"375ml bottles work out as just over one glass of wine per person, which really is the perfect amount for mid week drinking and ideal if you’re having a glass by yourself" Andrew Graham. Oz Wine Review
"A classic Rioja with berry, spice and cedar characters. Medium body, very fine tannins and a flavorful finish. Acidity carries the wine and then the tannins. Gorgeous.'' 94 Points, James Suckling
In this vintage the aromas of fresh red fruit stand out, together with floral notes and subtle toastings. On the palate it is lively and dynamic, with a fresh and lingering finish.
The bouquet is a luscious, fruity scent of sweet cherries and blackberries. The aromas are mirrored on the palate, with additional hints of violet and liquorice. Beautifully soft, harmonious tannins and subtly sweet, notes of spices linger on the finish.
There is only a single wine produced at this estate and less than 2,000 cases at that. Verdejo is an ancient, indigenous variety to Rueda and has nothing to do with Verdello.
''Albamar has nailed this. Its pure and focused with lovely white floral's and classic saline edge. Thirst quenching.'' The Best of Summer, Leanne Altmann, The Saturday Paper.
''The palate feels balanced, serious and solid with good tannins and enough acidity to support a good depth of fruit. Diez Caballero make classical Rioja's.'' 91 Points, Luis Gutierrez
Ruby red with light violet in the edges. Smoky cherry, blackberry and spice on the perfumed nose. Sweet-fruited, fresh and velvety, offering creamy cherry and dark berry flavours and a hint of pepper.
''It's the textbook volcanic Listán Negro character, with the black peppercorns, dry roses and wet pumice. The palate is approachable, with great freshness and length. " 92 Points, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate Magazine
