A youthful purple color in the glass, the aromas have a brief instant of pepper but are quickly overtaken by dried cherry and dark red fruits, as well as floral tones. Lovely lushness, savoury and supple.
Another long-time Piedmonte favourite of mine. Has always been a 'junior burger' priced wine but carries itself nicely as a proper serious Nebbiolo. Having dropped the Barbera from the blend, the wine is now a 95% Nebbiolo and 5% Cabernet Franc mix.
Another high quality 'grower' discovery. I can personally vouch for the fruit intensity and purity - when was the last time you drank a Champagne that felt like you were drinking a super high end Chardonay 'still' wine?
