With viticultural origins going back to 1626 Trimbach not only makes some of the finest wines in Alsace but is undoubtedly one of the world's greatest Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer producers.
The domain has nearly 12ha of Petit Chablis, classified as such because the limestone tends to be the younger Portlandian soils. Pierrick is convinced that his largest parcel of Petit really ought to be classed as Chablis!
One of two single vineyard wines from Pieropan. A polar opposite to the Calvarino as the grapes are picked when very ripe, often as late as the end of October, giving tremendous complexity and aromatic qualities to the wine. It also sees large old oak.
