''This is expressive and very varietal, strong aromatics with a mixture of herbal and citrus characters. Lovely.'' 91 Points, Luis Gutierrez, Wine Advocate Magazine

''Highly aromatic, pears and floral notes. Broad and spicy on the palate.'' Jancis

The name 'Picarana' refers to a bird that inhabits the highest points of the hill where the vineyard is located. Aromas like jasmine combine with faintly tropical fruit and a dairy hint to the nose. On the palate, there is a weight and richness to the wine from the barrel fermentation, but the minerality keeps the wine fresh. There's plenty of white florals, lycee and apricot here; but it's also fresh and bright looking almost Northern Rhone-white like in it's texture and depth.
