Pépé’s Béret Chardonnay 2017

What a find!  Pépé’s Béret Chardonnay 2017 is brand new to us, but it reminds me of our most popular, more expensive Chardonnays.  It's creamy, perfectly oaked, rich yet ultra smooth.  We sell a lot of chardonnay for under $20, but I think this will be the one which will prove the most popular over the next few months.

The grapes for this wine originate from vineyards in South West France that specialise in Chardonnay.  What makes gives this wine its appeal is the influence of differently toasted French oak.  After the fermentation, the fine yeast is stirred up periodically gaining the wine’s velvety mouthfeel. The nose has intense aromas of ripe apples, elegant bourbon vanilla and some toffee. The palate carries on these flavours in a wonderfully smooth and velvety journey.
